The trip is a bit more compressed than I would have ideally liked, so we had to pack a lot in today. I’d prefer to have stopped in Idaho Falls rather than continuing on to Bear World and Jackson, but by doing this we can spend an extra day in Grand Teton and Yellowstone.
Danika’s been quite interested in the various sights and sounds we encounter on the road. Southern Idaho is bleak and can be quite monotonous, so after lunch when we went through the blasted wasteland that hosts the Idaho National Labs (nuclear research in an area that nobody cares about) she was more interested in her tablet than counting the sage bushes.
